Today, Friday, February 19th at 3:20 pm, the Village of Olympia Fields experienced a carjacking in the 800 block of Cumnock. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
I would like to remind everyone that crimes of this type are on the rise in the entire metropolitan area. While your police department patrols neighborhoods and businesses working to prevent these crimes, it is critical that you are aware of your surroundings.
Never leave your vehicles unattended and please report any suspicious activity or individuals that you may see standing around in a parking lot or storefront.
