Consistent with the guidelines for Phase 4 of Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan, The Village of Olympia Fields re-opened to the public on Monday, June 15th. All services that were made available remotely to accommodate the closure in March, due to the pandemic, will continue to be available remotely and in person until Illinois moves to Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan. The public is encouraged to continue to conduct business via mail, drop box, email or phone, however, if you need to conduct business in person at Village Hall please note that all visitors are required to wear a face covering to enter any municipal building, and social distance of at least 6 ft. should be maintained. Also, if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms we ask that you stay home and not enter any of the municipal facilities.
All meetings scheduled for the month of July have been added to the “Upcoming Events” calendar on the Village’s website. With the transition to Phase 4, gatherings of up to 50 people or 50% room capacity, the lesser of the two, are now permitted with a minimum of 6 ft. between individuals to ensure social distancing. Until further notice all meetings will take place in the Board Rooms of the meeting facility to ensure that we are appropriately social distancing as recommended by the CDC and the IDPH.
Again, we thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate through these uncertain times. Remember, staying home, practicing social distancing, washing hands and wearing a face covering, saves lives.
