The Village of Olympia Fields is now in Phase 3 of Governor Pritzker’s Restore Illinois plan. Village Hall will re-open to the public Monday, June 15th and Village staff will return to semi-normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, with increased safety protocols and appropriate social distancing practices.
Some of the precautions implemented at Village Hall to reduce the risk of spread of the virus are:
- Touchless temperature screenings for all employees
- All visitors/customers conducting business will be required to wear a face covering when entering the building
- Maintain 6-ft social distancing as recommended by the CDC and the IDPH
- Limit the number of visitors/customers allowed inside of Village Hall at one time as recommended by the CDC and the IDPH
Additionally, at this time, the Village Board of Trustees will continue to conduct Board meetings remotely, until it is safe to once again gather in crowds of 50 people or more. To review the entire Restore Illinois plan, visit www.dph.illinois.gov/restore.
During our Phase 3 reopening, we thank you for your patience and understanding. Residents are encouraged to continue to reach us by calling the main phone number, 708-503-8000, and to make payments online, or use the drop box located just south of the main entrance at Village Hall. As our “new normal” continues to evolve, the Village will continue to monitor and assess these protocols. Please stay informed, exercise preventative measures and safe practices, and be mindful of others. We are all in this together, and only together can we defeat COVID-19.
