job description: Director of finance & administration

  • Superivises office staff, addressing but not limited to, Building Department Clerk, Water Billing Clerk, and Finance Assistant.
  • Maintains and coordinates all human resource function, including health and life insurance.
  • Keeps the Village President and Trustees advised on all Village financial matters.
  • Administers financial aspects of the Village including annual budget and tax levy preparation with the assistance of the Finance Trustee, investments, bank reconcilations and journal entries.
  • Grant reporting
  • IRMA coordinator
  • Liaison to committees and commissions for various Village-wide functions.
  • Prepares agenda for Board of Trustee meetings.
  • Coordinates support for departmental computers, telecommunications, the web and new technology.
  • Responds to any special project assigned by the Village President, Administrator or the Finance Trustee.
