At the Board of Trustees Meeting, the Cook County Minimum Wage Ordinance was discussed. The link will provide additional information on the subject. The Board of Trustees will consider an ordinance to "opt out" of the minimum wage requirements as set forth by County Ordinance or allow the Cook County Ordinance to stand and be applied to all local businesses within the Village. Please contact your trustees and the Village Administrator with your opinion on this issue.
Welcome to Olympia Fields!
On behalf of the 5,000 residents of the Village of Olympia Fields, I would like to welcome you to our community. The Village of Olympia Fields, is a village of architecturally unique homes surrounded by lush woodlands. The Village has nine beautiful neighborhood parks and an Environmental Learning Center. Deer, among many of Mother Nature’s other creatures, are at home among the tranquility of trees and lovely landscapes.
Olympia Fields is also home to Franciscan Health, a recognized leader in Illinois health care and the only center in the far south suburban region approved as a Teaching Hospital Cancer program offering a full range of diagnostic and treatment services.
Olympia Fields has long been a destination and is one of the most peaceful, beautiful places to live in the Chicago Southland. The Village of Olympia Fields has hosted seven major golf events and is celebrating its 90th birthday this year. It grew up around the prestigious Olympia Fields Country Club. We are a short 35 minute train ride from downtown Chicago via the Metra Train system and very proud to host the LPGA Championship for 2017.
Again, welcome to Olympia Fields and enjoy the 2017 KPMG Women's PGA Championship!
