Village of Olympia Fields

Where People Make the Village

Welcome

As President of the Village of Olympia Fields, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our Village’s website. Within this site, you will find a wealth of information for residents and visitors alike. We take great pride in our homes and neighborhoods. That is why the Village encourages and maintains a high quality property maintenance program. In assuring these standards are met and maintained, we promote the stability of our property values.

Wise fiscal management, excellent public services and responsive local government are hallmarks of our community. Participating in local government develops a sense of ownership and empowers you as a Village resident. I encourage you to attend our Board meetings to see what and how decisions are made that affect our residents and businesses. These meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Village Hall.

There also are many Village Committees that permit residents to actively shape the Village’s policies. We also have several neighborhood associations that are part of the fabric of our community. I urge you to contact your homeowners’ association and the Enhancement Organization of Olympia Fields. These organizations are a valuable resource in making life in our Village more enjoyable. Again, thank you for being a part of the Village of Olympia Fields.

Village of Olympia Fields -
Beautification Committee

Illinois officially recognizes Earth Day on April 22, 2014.

The Village of Olympia Fields Beautification Committee is asking residents to participate in a “weeklong celebration.”   From April 21st to April 27th, we invite all residents to participate in a Spring Clean-Up, an environmentally friendly event, which occurs in your respective neighborhoods through your individual and family efforts.   This would allow each resident, given their individual schedules, time to participate in a community wide environmental effort, the “greening” of our Village.

We are asking each resident/family to grab a container or a garbage bag and walk around your neighborhood picking up any debris that may be by your home or along your street or a neighboring street you walk along.  Your help is also needed with common areas as well as our roadways which include streets along and next to Crawford, Governors, Olympia Way (Kedzie) and Western and from Vollmer to 211th.

Please wear gloves while performing this activity to insure your physical safety.  All refuse collected can be disposed of through your regular disposal pick-up service.

Questions can be directed to the Beautification Committee:  Arlene Burke at ayburke@comcast.net or Susan Moroney at smgm1@comcast.net
